Notice of Annual General Meeting

Society for the Protection of the Mount Work Region

To all members of the Mount Work Coalition, this is official notice that an annual general meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 25th at 5:00 pm via Zoom link*

GUEST SPEAKER

The meeting will begin with a guest speaker, Mr. Adam Olsen, MLA for North Saanich and the Gulf Islands.

AGENDA

5:00 pm Welcome and Introductions

5:05 pm Guest Speaker Adam Olsen (there will be an opportunity for questions through the Chat function in Zoom)

5:30 pm End of Guest Presentation and call to order for the first annual general meeting of the Mount Work Coalition by Dr. Nikki Macdonald, past Chair Mount Work Coalition

The following business will be conducted at the AGM:

1) Approval of Agenda

2) Election of Mount Work Coalition Board

Slate of Nominees:

  • President (Elaine Klimke)

  • Vice President (Hugh Stephens)

  • Treasurer (Linda McClung)

  • Secretary (Dianne Twamley)

  • Director (Nikki Macdonald)

  • Director (Vacant)

Nominations will be accepted from the floor.
Elections shall be conducted with a show of hands.

3) Review, amendment, and approval of Mount Work Coalition Bylaws

Bylaws to be amended as follows:

Election or appointment to Board positions
6.1 Directors must be elected or appointed to the following Board positions, and a director, other than the president, may hold more than one position. Directors shall serve a term of two (2) years:

(a)president;

(b)vice-president;

(c)secretary;

(d)treasurer.

Role of Vice-President
6.4 The Vice-President is the vice-chair of the Board and is responsible for carrying out the duties of the President if the President is unable to act. The Vice-President shall succeed the President upon completion of his/her term.
